Nhóm nghiên cứu do Giáo sư Michio Shimamura thuộc Trường Đại học Tsukuba đứng đầu đã phát hiện ra rằng chất béo cholesterol gây xơ cứng động mạch do vi khuẩn Helicobacter Pylori tạo ra có thể giúp ngăn ngừa bệnh suyễn cuống phổi ở chuột.
